Carol, we have enjoyed doing business with First Family Homes with two builds now. Our son who is intellectually challenged took a big step to live on his own back in 2006. We met Ed and Carol at one of their open houses in Chatham where we were exploring the idea of a town home for our son. It was such a positive experience that we decided to proceed to purchase a new build town home in Tilbury for him. They were so understanding and encouraging during the process, our son became very comfortable with the transition. Every detail was attended too with great care and concern. Then as retirement was getting closer for the two of us, we made a big decision to leave our home at the lake, to be closer to our son and to build a new town home for ourselves, providing a much easier life style and easy to leave for travel. While we knew our first experience was good in 2006, this transition in 2014 was just as professional and helpful as the first one. Carol was a God-send and responded quickly with ideas for décor and vendor relationships; Ed was more than approachable to the many ideas we had for our design. All of their contractors and trades people who are well known in the Chatham-Kent area (Sacwal, Windmill, Handy Brothers to name a few) were all very professional and reliable. Their carpenters Bill and Jim were great to work with, skillful and a sense of customer service you don't see often in today's market. They made the journey much less stressful than it could have been. The title they use for their company is exactly how they operate... all about family. Since we have known them, we share stories about our children and now grandchildren, and will keep in touch. We would highly recommend Carol and Ed from First Family Homes and would even go as far as speaking to anyone who is considering entering a contract with them.

We found the Owners of First Family Homes agreeable to make our proposed changes to the Model home that we purchased. We were literally in Chatham for one week visiting from overseas with the intent of finding our new home, what surprised & impressed us the most, was that First Family home not only listened to our requests but made themselves available on a Saturday morning to walk us through the planned changes for the basement at the model home and helped us, crystallize our plans!
